The object of the game of Blackjack is to accumulate cards with point totals as close to 21 without going over that number. Starting from the top down, Aces are worth 1 or 11, whichever is preferable. Face cards, namely the Jacks, Queens and Kings are worth 10 points. Any other card is worth their represented number.
The dealer himself receives one card which faces up and one which faces down. When all players are done with taking additional cards, the dealer turns up the down card. By rule, on counts of 17 or higher the dealer must stay; on counts of 16 or lower the dealer must draw. If you make a total of 21 with the first two cards, a combination of an Ace and a face card or 10, you win automatically. This is called 'Blackjack'. Your payout is calculated as follows: you will win 1. 5 times your bet unless the dealer also has Blackjack, in which case it is a push, tie or stand-off, and you get your bet back. Winning the amount you bet is possible by having a higher count than the dealer and if in the tragic case that the dealer busts, you and all the remaining players win. There are other betting options which can be reviewed in the 'Terms' section.
